While a designer at Cal State LA's University Student Union, I had the opportunity to design two cultural graduation booklets. Both won awards from the Associated College Unions International (ACUI) Steal This Idea Competition.

 

PRIDE Graduation is a graduation celebration for LGBTQ students and their families. The goal of this design was to incorporate the "rainbow" often used to represent pride in a more sophisticated, modern way. Each one of the tickets is different to represent the uniqueness of each person.

Black Graduation is a graduation ceremony for Pan-African and African-American students at Cal State LA. I incorporated the school colors of black and gold into a tribal pattern for an elegant yet vibrant look.
